The Witchy Choir

It’s time for the Witchy Choir to Spring forth !

Every other Saturday afternoon for 2024!

2 – 3.30 pm Druids Hall

 Friday late afternoon Dec  20th –  optional singalong as Witchy Choir at the Witchy Summer Celebration !

  We all know singing in a choir fosters social connections and deep sense of community.

 But did you know it can reduce cortisol levels & release endorphins and oxytocin, hormones

 leading to a feeling of wellbeing. It helps our immune system by boosting certain antibodies

and is good for our memory, concentration and cognitive function.

This is a community choir for everyone and you can participate at whatever level feels right.

We are going to start with a Jazz/blues repertoire but I do love a good gospel and glorious mantra too.

I am open to your suggestions for particular songs you might like to bring to the welcome table.

There’ll be lots of warmups and voice development each session so please don’t let lack of confidence

or your own critical voice prevent you from coming. We’ll start slow with a gypsy jazz classic and a

Beatles medley and the sweetest easy song ever. and keep building our repertoire of songs we can sing together.

 For those closet ‘lead singers’ out there, there will be support for solos and private tuition for anyone

wanting to step up and find the perfect song for their voice ( I believe everyone has one).

We will sing ‘acapella’ as well as play with backing musicians from Witchie Ukes and other bands as well.

Cost will be $15 at the door or you will be able to purchase a 5 trip for $60 at the door which will  take you to the end of our sessions for 2024 at a cheaper rate.
